FAFSA guidance (2026–2027)
While completing the FAFSA is not a mandatory step for this scholarship application, it is highly recommended. If you plan to file the FAFSA, wait to submit your scholarship application until you have filed the FAFSA and obtained your SAI Submission Report, and include that report with your application. The Scholarship Committee places significant weight on FAFSA information when making award decisions.
Noncitizen applicants
Applicants who are not U.S. citizens should also complete the FAFSA and indicate “No, I am not a citizen or eligible noncitizen.” Although noncitizens may not qualify for federal aid, completing the FAFSA can assist consideration for state and private scholarships, including those awarded through this program.
