Being a part of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association comes with its perks. One of these is the opportunity to apply for a variety of scholarships offered by the Alabama Cattlemen's Foundation, joining the ranks of numerous other students who have benefited from these scholarships.
1) TAGGED FOR GREATNESS SCHOLARSHIP
ELIGIBILITY:
Applicants must be incoming freshmen at a 4-year college or university, demonstrate academic and leadership prowess, and either be a member of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association or have parents/grandparents who have been members for the past two years.

2) HIGH SCHOOL ATTENDING 2-YEAR SCHOLARSHIP
ELIGIBILITY:
This scholarship is open to high school seniors planning to attend a 2-year college. They must show academic and leadership excellence and be a member of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association or have parents/grandparents who have been members for the past two years.

3) TWO-YEAR ATTENDING FOUR-YEAR SCHOLARSHIP
ELIGIBILITY:
This scholarship is for junior college sophomores planning to attend a 4-year college or university. They must demonstrate academic and leadership excellence and be a member of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association or have parents/grandparents who have been members for the past two years.

4) OUTSTANDING JUNIOR CATTLEMAN SCHOLARSHIP
ELIGIBILITY:
High school seniors planning to attend a 2- or 4-year school are eligible. They must be members of the Alabama Junior Cattlemen's Association, participate in junior cattlemen/youth livestock activities, and be a member of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association or have parents/grandparents who have been members for the past two years.

5) COLLEGIATE EQUESTRIAN/RODEO TEAM SCHOLARSHIP
ELIGIBILITY:
Applicants must be competing members of a recognized equestrian/rodeo team at an Alabama college, demonstrate academic and leadership excellence, and be a member of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association or have parents/grandparents who have been members for the past two years.

6) AUBURN COLLEGE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
ELIGIBILITY:
Applicants must be currently enrolled in Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Preference is given to students with a strong background in Alabama's livestock industry who intend to practice large animal medicine.

7) AUBURN UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL SCIENCE GRADUATE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
ELIGIBILITY:
Applicants must be currently enrolled as a graduate student in Auburn University's Department of Animal Science. Preference is given to students with a strong background in Alabama's livestock industry who are working on a research project focused on beef or beef cattle.

8) MARTHA DAVIS SERVICE AWARD
ELIGIBILITY:
High school seniors who demonstrate exceptional leadership and community or volunteer service involvement are eligible. They must be a member of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association or have parents/grandparents who have been members for the past two years.

9) TRADE SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP
ELIGIBILITY:
This scholarship is open to Alabama students who are accepted or currently enrolled in a trade school program in the state. They must be a member of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association or have parents/grandparents who have been members for the past two years. Preference is given to students seeking careers in the agricultural industry.

10) INA E. POWELL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
ELIGIBILITY:
This scholarship is for outstanding female high school seniors with at least a 3.0 GPA who are enrolled at Auburn University with plans to graduate from the College of Agriculture, College of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences, College of Human Sciences or College of Education. They must demonstrate academic and leadership excellence, be involved in the cattle industry, and be a member of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association or have parents/grandparents who have been members for the past two years.

11) CECIL LANE FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP
ELIGIBILITY:
Applicants must be from Alabama, be incoming freshmen in Auburn University's College of Agriculture, have involvement in the cattle industry and demonstrate leadership excellence. They must be a member of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association or have a parent/grandparent who has been a member for at least 2 consecutive years.

12) ED WADSWORTH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
ELIGIBILITY:
This scholarship is for junior or senior animal science majors at Auburn University with at least a 3.0 GPA. They must demonstrate leadership skills, submit a 750-word essay on past involvement and future career in the livestock industry, and be a member of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association or have parents/grandparents who have been members for the past two years.

13) MAY AND NED ELLIS FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP
ELIGIBILITY:
Applicants must be from Alabama, have parents or grandparents who are current members in good standing of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association for two consecutive years, and be an upcoming junior or transferring junior into the College of Agriculture at Auburn University. They must have a 2.5 grade point average, a good academic and leadership record, and be involved in extracurricular activities in their major. Preference is given for financial need.
14) SAMUEL UPCHURCH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
ELIGIBILITY:
Applicants must be incoming freshmen at Auburn University, be accepted in the animal science or agriculture economics program, demonstrate academic excellence, and be a member of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association or have parents/grandparents who have been members for the past two years. Preference is given to a student whose parents are members of the Alabama Santa Gertrudis Association.

$4,000; renewable if requirements are met
15) JOHN WILLIAMS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
ELIGIBILITY:
Applicants must be from Alabama and have parents or grandparents who are current members in good standing of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association for the last two years. They must plan to enter into an agriculture degree at a four-year university and pursue a career in the beef cattle industry. They must have a good academic and leadership record and be involved in extracurricular activities. Preference is given for those that plan to attend auctioneering school.
