Lucas Law created the Legal Leaders Scholarship to help reduce the financial strain of tuition, textbooks, and room and board for students planning careers in law. Our firm is proud to support college students working toward legal professions. The Lucas Law Legal Leaders Scholarship awards $1,000 per semester to a single student committed to making an impact in the legal community.
Deadline
The application period for the Fall 2026 Lucas Law Legal Leaders Scholarship closes on May 18, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
Eligibility
Applicants will be considered if they meet all of the following:
- Intend to pursue a career in the legal field.
- Hold a minimum 3.5 GPA (if you do not currently have a GPA, submit the GPA from your most recently completed academic term).
- Are enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in the United States through the Fall 2026 semester.
- Are at least 17 years old.
Application Requirements
To apply, candidates must provide:
- A written essay (PDF or .docx), approximately 500 words in length, addressing the prompt below.
- An academic transcript.
- Proof of current enrollment or planned enrollment.
Essay Prompt
In about 500 words, answer the following:
Describe what you hope to accomplish during your legal career. What personal strengths will enable you to achieve these goals?
Selection Process
Our review committee will evaluate all complete applications. The recipient will be selected based on the following criteria:
- Applicant meets eligibility requirements and submitted all required materials.
- Essay adheres to the requested length and fully responds to the prompt.
- Essay demonstrates original thought with clear, well-developed ideas.
- Writing is organized, articulate, and of high quality.
Timing of Decision
We will finish the selection process within one month after the application deadline and will notify the scholarship recipient by June 18, 2026.
