Important timeline
- You must submit your DSF Scholarship application within one year of your high school graduation. For example, students who graduate with the high school class of 2025 must apply by May 1, 2026, and must have received their first DSF award no later than December 31, 2026.
DSF Scholarship — Eligibility overview
To be considered for DSF funding, applicants must meet all of the following:
- Have attended a Denver Public Schools (DPS) high school for the duration of high school or have been enrolled in a DPS high school since moving to Colorado.
- Graduate from high school with a final cumulative GPA that satisfies DSF’s minimum for the type of college you plan to attend:
- 4-year college/university: high school GPA of at least 2.75, or obtain an approved exception from DSF
- Community college: high school GPA of at least 2.5, or obtain an approved exception from DSF
- Technical college: high school GPA of at least 2.0
- Enroll full-time at one of DSF’s 30 College Partners in Colorado.
Design-focused Scholarship — Additional eligibility requirements
Applicants for the design-area scholarship must also meet these criteria:
- Be current or incoming students enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. university.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Submit all requested materials (for example: essay and creative samples).
- Be pursuing a degree in a design discipline such as (but not limited to) architectural design, graphic design, interior design, motion media design, or industrial design.
