Note: This scholarship is available only to qualified applicants who intend to accept employment with the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) after graduation. It is not intended solely as general financial aid.
Application instructions
1. Print clearly or type your responses.
2. Your application must include an original, handwritten signature. Photocopies containing a reproduced signature will be disqualified.
3. Submit every required document in its original form along with the application. Incomplete files will not be reviewed. All fields on the form must be completed.
4. Do not fax any application materials; faxed submissions will not be accepted.
Deadline and mailing information
To be considered, this application and all supporting documents must be received by 4:00 p.m. on May 31. If mailing, the envelope must be postmarked at least one day before the deadline. Send materials to:

Eligibility criteria
To qualify, applicants must meet all of the following:
- Have worked, or currently be working, as a WV Division of Highways Co-op employee.
- Be a resident of West Virginia.
- Be entering at least the junior year of an undergraduate degree program or the second year of law school.
- Be enrolled full-time in an accredited baccalaureate program in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering; Computer Science; Accounting; or be pursuing a Juris Doctor (J.D.) at an accredited institution.
- Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale.
- Have served as a WVDOH Co-op in good standing for a minimum of one year.
- Agree to begin employment with WVDOH immediately upon receipt of the declared baccalaureate (or J.D.) degree.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States without holding a visa that requires employment by an E-verified employer; WVDOH is not an E-verified agency.
