Community Foundation of North Central Washington Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Community Foundation of North Central Washington
Overview
The Community Foundation of North Central Washington (Community Foundation of NCW) is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization that connects donors with charitable causes across Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties.
Scholarship programs
We administer more than 150 individual scholarships, each with unique eligibility rules and award conditions. Our web-based application will guide you through questions that determine which specific scholarships you may qualify for.
Two distinct applications and deadlines
- General scholarships — application deadline: March 1.
- Nursing, Allied Health, and Trades scholarships — application deadline: June 1.
If you are pursuing the Nursing/Allied Health/Trades application, we strongly suggest also completing the General scholarship application to maximize your opportunities.
How the application works
Complete the online form and you will receive a confirmation email listing the scholarships you have been matched to and any additional (supplemental) questions required by those funds. Make sure to answer any follow-up items to finish your application package.
What to have ready before you begin
To complete the application efficiently, gather the following:
- Your high school and/or college transcripts.
- A summary of extracurricular, volunteer, and work activities.
- Your Student Aid Index (SAI) from your FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR). Note: the SAI is not required for 2024 scholarships, but filing the FAFSA is encouraged for other financial aid opportunities.
- Email addresses for recommenders. At least one recommender should be a school-related professional (for example, a teacher, counselor, or coach). Some scholarships may request up to three recommendations—check each fund’s description for exact requirements.
Important instructions and eligibility reminders
Read all instructions carefully and respond to every question that applies to you. If a question is optional and not relevant to your situation, you may leave it blank. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed, so double-check that you have provided all required materials and responses before submitting.
