SE4A Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Southeastern Association of AAAs
About SE4A Founded in 1973, the Southeastern Association of Area Agencies on Aging (SE4A) was created by a group of Area Agencies in the Southeast Region. The organization grew out of concerns shared by those agencies—represented by delegates from eight states—about national and regional challenges affecting Area Agencies on Aging as they worked to build effective programs for older adults. Purpose and goals To fulfill its mission, SE4A pursues these primary objectives: - Foster the creation and improvement of a coordinated, cohesive aging network across the Southeast. - Promote activities and educational efforts that raise the profile and trustworthiness of the aging network. - Serve as a collective voice to Congress, the Administration on Aging (AoA), public and private sector entities, the National Coalition of Aging Organizations, and other influential groups or individuals on issues affecting older Americans. - Strengthen and support the work of local Area Agencies on Aging and their state associations. - Develop and deliver targeted training to build capacity within the Southeast aging network.
